1. Who may use XP Quests

XP Quests is an educational product for children. Because it is designed for minors, a parent or legal guardian must set up and supervise any account, agree to these Terms on the child's behalf, and provide the consent described in our Privacy Policy. A child may not create an account on their own. If you are a school or teacher, you represent that you are authorized to agree to these Terms for educational use and to provide consent in place of parents for your students, under a separate school agreement where applicable.

2. What we offer

XP Quests provides interactive coding lessons, used with a free family account that a parent creates. Optional premium features — an AI tutor, studio narration, and parent email notifications — are available on paid plans. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Acceptable use

Use XP Quests for personal, family, or authorized classroom learning.
Do not misuse the service: no attempting to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access; no using it to harm others; no uploading unlawful content into the notebook or tutor.
Do not resell or redistribute the content without permission.
Keep your account credentials private; you are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Free and paid plans

XP Quests offers a free plan and one or more paid subscription plans. Current features and prices are shown at sign-up and on xpquests.com.

Billing. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method each period until you cancel.
Cancellation. You may cancel anytime from the account page; your plan remains active until the end of the paid period, after which it will not renew.
Deleting your account. If you delete your family account while a paid plan is active, we cancel the subscription at the same moment, so you are not charged again. Because deleting the account permanently erases all of its data, access ends immediately and the unused part of the current billing period is not refunded, unless the law or the refund policy below says otherwise.

Price changes. We may change prices with reasonable advance notice; changes apply to the next billing period.
AI tutor questions. Premium includes 25 AI tutor questions per billing month. The allowance renews on your monthly billing date (also on yearly plans) and unused questions do not carry over. You can buy extra question packs (200 questions, one-time payment); pack questions do not expire, are used only after the monthly allowance, can be used only while the family has Premium, and end when the account is deleted. Refunds follow the refund policy below.
Fair-use limits. The studio voice has a daily usage limit, and the AI tutor answers at most a few questions per minute, to keep the service sustainable.

5. The AI tutor — important disclaimer

The optional AI tutor gives hints generated by an artificial-intelligence model. It is designed to guide, not to give perfect answers, and it can sometimes be wrong or incomplete. It is a learning aid, not a substitute for a teacher or adult supervision. Please review the tutor's suggestions with your child.

6. Your content

Anything your child writes (for example, notebook entries or tutor questions) belongs to your family. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and process it to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete it at any time.

7. Service availability

We work to keep XP Quests available and working, but we provide it "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or that progress sync will never fail. The offline course keeps working even if our online services are down.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, XP Quests and Tugay Serinken (sole proprietor) will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the [12 months] before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Termination

You may stop using XP Quests and delete your account at any time (see "Deleting your account" in section 4 for what happens to a paid plan). We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are seriously or repeatedly violated, or as required by law, giving notice where reasonable.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. [Add any required consumer-protection carve-outs for the EU/UK, which may give consumers rights in their home country.]

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will notify you and, where required, ask you to agree before continuing to use paid or account features. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
